You think that all this leprechaun stuff sounds very unlikely, but so as not to offend, you ask politely about the legend.

Now they know for sure that you are a tourist, and explain that these legends have been going around Avoca for years but they don't place any credence in them but " That man at the end of the bar looks uncannily like a…..no he couldn't be!"

Ask them what attractions are in the area for you to visit.
Tell the lady that her ring is very unusual and attractive and could you possibly have a look at it.
Ask about the quiet one, does he not like strangers?
